It's a Sean led episode so we're talking about French President Charles De Gaulle (1890-1970) and how he survived a CIA backed coup in 1961. In this part 1 we give a bit of background information on the French colonization of Algeria and why De Gaulle's attempts to end that war made people angry enough to try to kill him 30 times. We also look at lessons JFK could have taken from De Gaulle that might've helped him to survive his own assassination. We finish with part 2 on the Patreon.
Most of the research for this episode comes from the Devil's Chessboard by David Talbot. The relevant chapters are excerpted here:

Thursday May 18, 2023

We discuss the life and times of comedians Mort Sahl (1927-2021) and Dick Gregory (1932-2017). Both were famous and successful stand up comics who gave up a lot of money and opportunities to pursue what they saw to be the truth of the Kennedy and MLK assassinations. We look at how their legacies have been largely marginalized and misrepresented. The conversation continues on our Patreon.
